While I was in the USA recently, I got an email from Malinda saying that their wedding plans had changed as their venue for both the ceremony and reception had burnt down (just a few months out from the wedding day!) Luckily they managed to find a new reception location, the Burbury Hotel and were the first wedding to be held there just weeks after the hotel had opened. Thankfully it all worked out in the end and we managed to avoid too much weather. This one was of those weddings where the emotion is so high that it’s so difficult not to get caught up in it. Between Ben and Kalani’s heart felt speeches, I don’t think there was a single dry eye in the room. And boy is it hard to take photos when you’re eyes are full of tears! Thanks Malinda & Ben, I really enjoyed sharing your day with you and feeling the love between you guys – it’s the exact reason why I love this job.
