50 Cyclos around Hoi An Vietnam – Jess & Grant’s Welcome Dinner

Jess & Grant kicked their wedding celebrations off with a welcome dinner at one of the tastiest restaurants in town – Mai Fish.

It didn’t just stop at dinner though – Jess organised 50 Cyclos for guests to have a tour around Hoi An on the way to the restaurant. [If you've been following my Instagram feed, you would have probably guessed how I was travelling]

One of the advantages of a destination wedding over a local one is the celebrations can last for a week. The guests to get to know each other a little more and by the time the wedding rolls around – there is this wonderful sense of community and everyone has that much more of a good time. Highly recommended.

If you ever find yourself in Hoi An – you absolutely have to hit up Mai Fish. It’s owned and operated by one of the nicest husband & wife teams that you’ll ever come across. Duc & Ly rock (and make really tasty food too).

Jess & Grant’s Vietnamese extravaganza begins here, enjoy.

Kirstie & Lance take their friends out to dinner

We were having lunch in the week leading up the wedding just running over the details, Kirstie and Lance mentioned in passing that ”we just want to take all of our close family and friends to dinner, how often do you get to do that?”

Such simple words, which really resonated with me. Such a beautifully sweet couple.

Here’s a 3 minute film of pictures, words and with one incredible talented bridesmaid vocals.

Josh & Anoushka {Hawkesbury River Wedding}

I’ve been waiting ages to share this one with you. It makes me happy to the deepest depths of my heart.

This is why I do this.

Emily and Max {Melbourne Wedding}

Talk about a wedding with a smile – I don’t think I could have counted all the smiles from everyone all day! (That could be because I can only count shutter speeds and apertures these days…) but the ever so lovely Em & Max got married at this cute little church (St Thomas of Aquinas) and had their reception in the city at The Alto. The team at Style Co went to town making some funky stuff (including those giant foam letters, wowzers) and the whole day went beautifully. Jam packed with all the good juicy bits; great people, great light, great location and most importantly such beautiful affection (the 4th last shot in this post should help explain it). Thanks for being so awesome guys!

Just as a side note, there aren’t many things that stop me chilling in a hammock in Fiji (where this post is coming to you from) but I just had to share this one with y’all.  I can’t stop smiling looking through the pictures and I hope you do the same. Enjoy :)
